A node of the category tree products are filed under. Rows are compact; get adds the icon and, with include, the descendants tree, the images, the SEO title and description, and the filter attributes linked to the category.

Detach pictures from a category; the files stay in the media library.

Takes category image ids, not media file ids. Read them with product_category_get include images.

category_image_updateCopy Anchor Link

Add a category's pictures from the media library, or change their role.

op add attaches media library files (media_list finds them) as the thumbnail or as extra images, op set_type changes the role of images already on the category. A category has one thumbnail. Read the image ids with product_category_get include images; category_image_remove detaches images.

Without parent_category_id the category is a root category. Images are added afterwards with category_image_update.
